Hello,

I hope that someone could assist me with knowledge of river cruises with small boats or even a bit bigger one in Belarus? I have heard such trips in Ukraine and Russia are a big hit ( just like in Finland short lake "cruises") meaning boat trips where we can drink beer, eat and check out the lake/river view :-)

If I have understood correctly all the major cities in Belarus are born next to major rivers? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rivers_of_Belarus So I think that there is some sort of river cruises available in each city also?

* Does anyone know any ship names and reference pages for the ships? -> Wikipedia etc?

* In which cities there is river cruises?

* Is there any internet pages where I could check out the cruises?

* Is there any forum in Belarus dedicated to river ships and cruises where I could check further info?

If someone knows something just post reply and click to internet link bar click CTRL+C and in post reply CTRL+V

Does anyone know any internet bookig sites where I could book for me and my wife an river cruise trip?

I know only catamarans in Minsk. In general, I didn't hear about river cruises in Belarus. I think, that we haven't it. ;-)

Timppa Of Finland, I know that in Brest some time ago was little river trip on river called Muhavec. But in our country such trips are not popular(((.
We haven't any booking sites where you can book trip. If someone tell information about trips and it won't be old you can come to our country and take trip without booking (you'll have to come at place where trips starts at time).
Timppa, why only river trip? We can tell you other ways to see the beauty of our country!

А на Мухавце сейчас точно кто-нить знает как и что? Раньше точно было катание.
Или же человека интересует не просто покататься полчаса, а круиз на пару дней? с этим я и не знаю....не слышал такого(((

Hello,

I will have time to explore quite a bit of time Belarus, thats why I thought that I would have time to check out also some river trips.

After all even the Vikings used Belarusian rivers as their travelling routes to Greece. So I thought that since Vikings are known for their good taste I would see the Belarusian rivers from the boat :-)

And thank you for the effort to reply VL80, however I believe that above link is about camping and canooing trips?

I mean what I am looking for is something like this kind of ships: http://www.hopealinja.fi/sivut/kuvagalleria1/galleria_12.htm (just click english flang and you can get Finnish text into English). This perticular one goes from Hämeenlinna to Tampere once an a while, and make every day local shorter river cruise trips that takes aprox 2 to 3 hours.

All of the trips are made during one day and there is no sleep over or own cabins for travellers. Main idea is to eat, drink, listen music, talk with people and enjoy the sun and fresh river air :-)

I have seen in WWW pages similar ships in Belarus and thats why I thought that it would be nice to take such trip.

I heard from my wife that at least in the Mahilyow region http://maps.live.com/ there is boats that cruise along Dnjapro for 2 to 3 hours and then return back. We did not find any reference links in internet, but I know such trip exists.

Жалко, очень жалко, но у нас это всё не распространено.
... Из последних новостей - кто-то там что-то сказал, что два новых маршрута водных открывается. По идее, снова без комфорта.

И еще вопрос (возможно, глупый донельзя): по каким рекам Беларуси может пройти круизный лайнер (не огромных размеров, конечно же)?
Т. е. ответом на этот вопрос я хочу дополнить фактически полное отсутсвие (и причины) натурального водного туризма Беларуси...

I have had a one-hour trip on a cruise-ship named "Vitebsk" on a river Pina. It was during an excursion in the city Pinsk some years ago.
This ship is being usesd not only for trip, but as transport between Pinsk and some distant villages...

I think it would be good idea if some river ship activist would start an new forum that would consentrate only to canooing, scuba diving, sailing, harbours, river ports, ship building and river ships, and river cruising in Belarus.

Старт нашей водной мини-экспедиции был назначен на 13 июня 2009 года из города Гродно. Закупившись провизией, 16 человек с неподдельным восторгом погрузились на небольшую «Ольгу Соломову» и отправились в путь по реке Неман на встречу с Августовским каналом.

Мы его целиком зафрахтовали за 2 миллиона рублей с копейками (приблизительно) на 12 часов вместе со сборами за 2 шлюзования. Не так уж и много, если учесть, что вместимость "Ольги Соломовой" примерно 100 человек, хотя, если с комфортом, то лучше компанию более 30 человек не набирать. Если нужны контакты - пиши, поделимся. :-)

А мы, тем временем, уже подумываем какие ещё речные вылазки можно будет осуществить в Белоруссии. Пока разрабатывается 2 направления: Западная Двина и Припять. Последний вариант более вероятен, т.к. в районе Пинска, как я выяснил, есть регулярное пасажирское судоходство. Более того можно даже помечтать и о большем на перспективу. Вот, например, новость опубликованная 9 апреля прошлого года на пинском городском портале:
"Комфортабельный круизный теплоход планируют построить на Пинском судостроительно-судоремонтном заводе, сообщает «Народная газета».
По предварительным наброскам, трёхпалубный "отель на плаву" будет оборудован 25 каютами на 50 мест. На теплоходе планируется обустроить даже летний кинотеатр и сауну с бассейном. Как предполагается, теплоход сможет совершать водные походы по маршруту Брест — Пинск — Мозырь — Киев".

Идя по Неману, каналопроходцы, грезя о будущих нестандартных водных путешествиях, мечтали пройти по Днепровско-Бугскому каналу, но это казалось безнадёжным. Ребята! Спешу Вас обрадовать! Это возможно! Формат один в один как с Неманом и Августовским каналом. Только что созванивался с капитаном теплохода "Витебск" (типа "Москва"), совершающего пассажирские и прогулочные рейсы от Пинска. По его словам, хоть они обычно выход в канал из Пины не практикуют, но если энтузиастам так уж хочется, то нам могут организовать проход по Припяти и Пине до шлюзов (25 км.), и далее через шлюзы в канал и проход по некоторому его отрезку, насколько позволяет фрахт в пределах одного дня (с 10.00 до 21.00) (плохо расслышал название поворотного пункта, но что-то вроде Астахово). Цена часа аренды те же 2000 р. в час. Но на борту есть уже и бар с пивом и закусками. Правда, некоторое затруднение состоит в том, что на день теплоход можно зафрахтовать только в дни, свободные от пассажирских перевозок! Нынче у них это только вторник и четверг! Так что к праздникам это приурочить сложновато. Надо брать под это какой-нить отпуск что ли, но зато тогда этот заплыв можно совместить с другими белорусскими интересностями...Но, самое главное, мечты сбываются, а значит планы на будущеие мероприятия можно строить!

По Западной Двине же до недавнего времени ходила Заря от Витебска до Полоцка, но её перевезли на Лепельское озеро и она теперь курсирует с экскурсиями по нему. Соответственно, по Западной Двине теперь фиг прокатишься нормально.

I THINK that it would be a-really-good idea to establish new forum

headline would be regional/provincial and it would deal with

* Belarusian marine cargo project,

*River cargo news

* River passenger news

* Photografing of riverships

* Ongoing ship building projects
-> Gomel shipbuilding
-> Rechitskii shipbuilding
-> Pinsk shipbuilding

* Passenger companies: Belarus steamship company, Grodno stemship company etc etc.
